Our Story

We never set out to build a pet food brand.

We just wanted to feed our cat properly — and that turned out to be far harder than it should be. His name is Hershey, and sorting out his food is what eventually led us to Plennia: natural food for dogs and cats, made to be honest and easy to trust.

It started with Hershey

When Hershey came to live with us, we did what any owner does — we went looking for the best food we could find. We read the front of the bag. We believed the promises. We assumed “premium” meant something.

Then we got lost

It didn't take long. Every bag said the same things in slightly different words. Ingredient lists we couldn't read out loud. Claims that sounded impressive and explained nothing. We were trying to do right by one small cat, and the whole aisle seemed built to make that confusing.

So we made Plennia

We stopped shopping and started asking better questions. What would we actually want in his bowl? Real meat we could name. Ingredients we recognised. A label that told the truth plainly. When we couldn't buy that, we made it ourselves.
